Current Series:

Summer Of
Glass

Series Idea:  Join us as we reflect on the stained glass in our Sanctuary through this summer.  We will hear many stories we grew up hearing in Sunday School and VBS!

June 2- The Burning Bush (Exodus 3: 1-6)

Moses had a checkered past, he had been on the run.  Moses was searching for identity with his people.  He was probably the least qualified to answer God’s call.  But, God doesn’t call the qualified, God qualifies the called.

June 9- The 10 Commandments (Exodus 20: 1-17)

Rules or guidelines for us to follow?  How relevant are the 10 Commandments for us today?

June 16- The 23rd Psalm (Psalm 23)

The tools a shepherd uses are a great analogy for how we should follow God.  Find out what a rod and staff have to do with us today.

June 23-Daniel and the Lion’s Den (Daniel 6: 16-23)

Daniel was bold about his faith and was rewarded for that.  What can we learn from Daniel?

July 7-Isaiah’s Vision of the Seraph (Isaiah 6: 8-13)

Isaiah amid fear calls out here I am.  All God needs is our willingness and God will direct our paths.

July 14- The Peaceable Kingdom (Isaiah 11: 1-9)

This is where the characteristics of Jesus are laid out and the result of a Christ Kingdom is revealed.  How are we working towards this?

July 21- The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5: 1-12)

In the famous Blessed are passage we learn about who God favors.  What does it take to actually receive God’s favor?

July 28- Jesus and the Children (Matthew 19: 13-15)

Jesus has a special place in his heart for children and calls us to have faith like them.  What does that mean for us?

August 4- The Good Shepherd (John 10: 1-5, 11-16)

Jesus uses an example to describe who He is that was relevant back in Bible times.  What does the Good Shepherd mean for us today?

August 11- The Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20)

Jesus gives us a charge before He leaves the earth.  What is our role and how are we fulfilling it?

August 18- Pentecost (Acts 2: 1-13)

Pentecost is the birth of the church.  We see the Holy Spirit come down.  The disciples were waiting for God to work.  We would be wise to follow their example.

August 25- The Glorified Christ (Revelation 1: 9-20)

We see this passage from Revelation with a depiction of Christ.  Words of comfort are given to John.  We will reflect on what this dream means for us.
