Cathedral Kitchen Program
Mission Coordinator: Lois Stawicki
Cathedral Kitchen in Camden feeds an average of 325 people a day, 6 days a week. The food is prepared by a professional kitchen staff and served by volunteers from churches, businesses, and organizations from Camden and surrounding areas.
St. Andrew’s supplies 5 volunteers on the first Wednesday of each and every month.
Not only does a group go each month, we now also collect individually donated supplies, such as bulk food, paper supplies & plastic eating utensils, which can be dropped off anytime in the Church Narthex Shopping Cart. Check here to see which items we are collected this month!
To volunteer, you must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes and, if they have an apron, please bring it. If not, one will be provided for you.
If you would like to volunteer, email Lois Stawicki
News from Cathedral Kitchen…
WE DID IT! THANK YOU for your votes! Chick-fil-A awarded CK the S.Truett Cathy True Inspiration Award and a grant of $20,000. Thanks to Bill Diaco, Owner/Operator of the Chick-fil-A Audubon Crossings for nominating CK and rallying his SJ network of restaurants to support our effort! We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support! Thanks also to local CFA owners Dave Curran of Chick-fil-A Cherry Hill and Chick-fil-A Garden State Park In-Line, Brian Bowman of Chick-fil-A Marlton, and the CFA Cow for presenting us with the check.
Harvest For hunger
Harvest for Hunger is a wine tasting and auction held in the fall to support the Cathedral Kitchen. Hors d’oeuvres and dinner are served as guests take chances on distinctive gift baskets. The event features a live auction for wine, chefs’ tables, vacation homes and other prizes.
