Sunday School Classes for Children

Register here for 2018-2019 Sunday School

At St. Andrew’s, Sunday School is an integral part of a child’s life in the church. St Andrew’s encourages children to participate with youth and adults in worship. Children join with their parents for the opening of the worship service and participate in a children’s sermon time with the pastor before they go to Sunday School. Classes are held for children age 3 through senior year of high school.  The curriculum is varied and appropriate for the age of the child.  All lessons are Bible-based.  When a child reaches third grade, he or she is given a Bible of their very own.  The children are encouraged to bring these Bibles to their Sunday School classes.
In addition, there is a nursery available for infants and children up to two years old.

Children’s Library

The library contains both religious and secular books appropriate for pre-schoolers up to high school.  Children in grades Pre-kindergarten through third grade visit the library once a month with their Sunday School teacher to listen to a Bible story be told and have the opportunity to check out books if they wish.

Vacation Bible School

Join us for 2018 Vacation Bible School Monday, July 23 – Thursday, July 26. This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus”. Contact Ellen Barton for more information: bartonep98@comcast.net.

Adult Christian Education

An adult Christian education meeting takes plan on Sunday mornings at  9am in the Graf
Room  on the second, third, fourth and fifth(when there is one) Sundays of the month. All adults are invited. No preparation required. Topics are varied and timely.

Adult Library

The Book selections at St. Andrew’s UMC Library are based upon what might stimulate ideas, provoke thought, satisfy curiosity and entertain readers. Whenever there’s a book sitting on the table waiting to be opened, don’t you anticipate those moments of relaxation? It’s a time when you can get lost in the life of a story, or awake to the new fact or concept discovered? Then you pause to digest and reflect the joy of the unexpected moment.

St. Andrew’s UMC Library provides the opportunity to enhance lives in the areas of fiction, spiritual growth, parenting, theology, aging, missions and much more. Our diversity also includes books on a variety of religions along with Methodism. Check out libraries in both the Church Lounge and in the Graf Room.

The Upper Room daily devotional booklets are also available free for all those who wish to have one. These may be picked up at the displays in the Narthex or Church Lounge.
