For 105 years, The Neighborhood Center, A United Methodist Women’s national mission, has served the Camden community helping women, children and families. The center’s programs include daycare, after school and summer camp for children along with an evening teen program. Senior citizens meet for fellowship and enrichment programs. The Community Kitchen and food pantry, nutritional programs, and a flash grocery store for Thanksgiving meal shopping – no cost to the client – offers an additional bridge to the community.
Let’s continue their story … by donating generously $5 or more this February during Neighborhood Center Month. Place your donation into the PINK envelope located in a pew pocket, and put it in the collection plate throughout the month. Visit the Center’s website at www.neighborhoodrising.org or their Facebook page to see how they are breaking the cycle of poverty in the Camden community.
